Assurity Homecare only hires the best caregivers as its W2 employees.
Basic Caregiver Training includes, but is not limited to:
- Safety
- Infection Control
- Seniors and Aging
- Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
- Medication and Pain
- Independence & Confidentiality.
In addition, caregivers are screened to meet the following standards:
• LIVE SCAN Government Criminal Background Check (DOJ and FBI fingerprinting in CA) • Fall Prevention Program • Fraud and Exclusions Check by the Office of Inspector General (http://oig.hhs.gov/) • E-Verify (http://www.uscis.gov/e-verify) • Government Sex Offender Check (http://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/) • Verification and Assessment of the Candidates Professional Experience as a Caregiver • Verification of Employment Eligibility (https://www.uscis.gov/i-9) • Hand Hygiene Program • Evaluation of Competency Based on In-home care scenarios and Emergency Situations • Chest X-Ray or Tuberculosis Test • DMV/Car Insurance Check and Driver Safety Quiz • Registered on the State of CA Home Care Aide Registry (https://secure.dss.ca.gov/ccld/) • Verification of Caregiving References
Worker’s Compensation Insurance, Bonded and Insured
In addition to being covered by Worker’s Compensation Insurance, all Assurity Homecare caregivers are bonded and insured. Bonded and insured Caregivers will protect seniors and their families against any potential loss or liability lawsuits.
In most cases, a senior’s homeowner’s insurance does not fully cover job-related injuries. All Assurity Homecare Caregivers are considered to be company employees and are covered by General and Professional Liability Insurance, along with Worker’s Compensation. Assurity Homecare Caregivers who provide transportation with their vehicle are required to have a valid Driver’s License and personal auto insurance.
In the unlikely event that there were any theft or damaged property, all of our Caregivers are bonded so that you can be fully compensated.

Caregiver Compatibility Guarantee
Assurity Homecare knows that finding a great match between our clients and our caregivers is essential to providing the best care possible. To this end, we offer a “Caregiver Compatibility Guarantee” that assures you and your loved one that we will not rest until you are completely satisfied with the caregiver that has been hand selected for your care. During our Free In-Home Consultation, we gather information necessary to find the most compatible caregiver for our client’s physical, social and emotional needs. These questions cover topics such as: Personal Preferences, Personality, Schedule Accommodation, Similar Interests and Specific Care Requirements.
